Since I have been a blogging failure, I figure a good way to come back to town would be with a great cause that I got to be a part of this past Saturday! My best-friend Joanna has been a major activist for her uncle who has knee cancer. She’s been putting together raffles and contests and every which way to help raise money for his surgery. One of her recent awesome ideas just took place and I along with some fun ladies had a ball getting our nails done by the amazing Ela! I got a chance to see some high school friends, meet some cool new ppl and get my nails done in my favorite nail polish ESSIE! I took my mom for a chance to get her pampered and have a bit of a day off! She got to meet my best-friends mom which she’s heard about since high school but never really met! (Yes this happens) It was one of those gentle lull days where time flies and you’re having a great time. I stuffed my face with some great finger foods and just getting a look back is making me hungry, he he!
Joanna you are an inspiration with your persistence and warm heart for such a great cause and I am ever grateful that I have a person such as yourself as a friend in my life!
When her next idea comes to fruition I will be the first to announce it here on the blog but if you want to stay in touch there’s a facebook page she’s keeping for anyone interested. Click Here

Hello all! I just wanted to let you know of a great cause I’ve joined called Cans for Comments. Its a cause which simply has photographers with blogs use the comments they receive to support a donation of canned goods to a local food bank. This cause was brought to my attention by Caroline Ghetes Photography who happens to always inspire me in new ways to contribute to the world around me.
So, from now until December 31, 2009 I will be counting any Blog Love a.k.a. comments you all make on here to give a can donnation to Gleaners Food Bank out in Pontiac, MI. Get your fingers ready to type! “One comment per blog post per blog reader, please!” - Caroline

This past weekend I was out of reach for a few days because I got the rare and amazingly fun opportunity to go to Camp all over again!!! I barely got to go to camp as a kid but still camp is camp and cool is cool! The best part is I got to go to camp with Friends! My good friends run an annual Romanian Christian Camp called Camp Emanuel and its located just out side of Flint. They have been around for nine years now and this year they asked me if I could come document some of the fun! Ummmm… I don’t know about you all but if someone is sending me to camp I pretty much have my bags packed before the conversation is over! :D
How it went: I was so impressed with the quality of activities and lessons that the kids get to do. They actually had Financial lessons to teach the kids the value of money! I also loved the fact that you could see the relationships these kids were building with each other and how they were growing as people and especially as young Christians! The patience the counselors possessed was definitely God given. :) The greatest lesson I learned is that you learn right along with the kids, you never know enough you are always learning a bit more!
Thank you Camp Emanuel for the good times, the great laughs, and the view of Christ love from your eyes!
Just want to take this time and give a shout to a well worthy cause: www.CampEmanuel.com

Wow, those are some very nice shots! It was a good weekend at camp. I remember our lame “hacking” of the wireless signal; even with the password we were all failures. Fun times!
