My favorite model, undeniable makeup guru, and best of friends Liz joined me in a bit of try out the lights and hang out with your photographer friend day. Our goal today was to test out some new lights I’ve recently purchased and also get some fun shots of me done for the site! :) Plus as an added bonus Liz was kind enough to be my model for some new looks I’m testing. I love the matchbook girl look and she embodies it to a T! We not only got some work done but enjoyed ourselves silly doing it. Liz, thanks a million for always being superb with lending a hand in all my crazy schemes. You are the best make-up applier/model/friend who’ll pick up my camera and learn it on the fly cuz I ask, kind of person I know! Love ya!

So excited to get this out into the world. I know Sierra’s mom is just as excited to see this as Sierra, so here’s to you two! Enjoy.

Jenny is a friend, a person whom I love and have watched grow from a kid to a young lady. This a just a peek at how beautiful she has become! Watch for the rest soon.

This sunday was unusually warm and sunny for a november day! The few days before were cloudy and chilly to point out what Michigan fall weather usually averages. I got to spend the morning with some of my favorite people “the Pusta” Gang! They always crack me up and the kids just get cuter. The session was shortly held in the studio and then moved on to the park down the street for the real craziness to begin! There’s just something about kids in a park that makes me smile with the memories, parents running and screaming while kids run the other way, giggling. Good stuff!

Some fun from this summer spent all over Royal Oak! I love when clients are cool with my ideas such as hanging out in parking lots up top on the awesome floor. :) Meeting me at a few hours before sunset to capture some love makes me even happier! They did all and more!

My long time friends and clients Andreea + Val joined me on Saturday at Yates Cider Mill in Rochester for some fun in the sun! Yates is an awesome place to go to really feel the fall season in all its splendor here in MI. The cider is great, the donuts are delicious, and they have a petting zoo! How can you not like a place with a petting zoo? My fav though is the walking trail, right by the water, under the sun and some massive trees, with beautiful views every which way. We picked sunset as its the best light to shoot in outdoors this time of year! It was a bit chilly but looking at their smiling faces they made me feel like I was celebrating fall in California not Michigan! They impress me more and more each year with their hottness! I present to you my friends:

This weekend was just beautiful in Michigan and we took full advantage with many fall sessions booked. The sessions today I finished off with some beautiful sunset portraits in a dream field. I love outdoor photography where I get to mix people and nature. I adore the sun kissed look we achieved by shooting at the right time in the right light! This was a dream session, thanks to Pricilla who indulged me by being a model for some amazing shots! This is what I get to do and I love it! Moments like these are why my job is just so cool!

More sessions to be uploaded from all the summer sessions passed! Plus a ton of love stories just waiting to be told!

A combination family portrait and maternity session came about last Saturday  at the studio with Ioana, Radu, & Lucas. We wanted to take a ton of outdoor photographs but due to overwhelming winds and a down pour of rain we had to change tactics for a bit, so we ended up in the studio for a bit before attempting to take on the Michigan elements. Ioana (Mommy) didn’t want to have her new baby before taking her maternity shots with me, so she’s been praying for our meeting to come and her labor to wait. haha She’s about a week out now! You’ve got some faith Lady!!!  I’m so excited to meet the new family member which will be adorable because lets face it these two only make beautiful babies. Mom’s been waiting for a sneak peek at the photos, so here you go my darling. Enjoy!

Welcome to the wacky world of one of my best friends and I.  We’ve been friends since we met  in church, on the last bench in the balcony, at the age of 13.  Our bonded was forged over the fact that we didn’t fit in with the rest of the kids and we had our own way of thinking. We have a 14 year strong friendship and expect that we’ll yell at each others kids just as if they were our own. In our old age we proclaim that, I’ll sit on my porch and she on her’s and we’ll watch the sunset together from neighboring houses. We’ll also be commenting on “how rude these new kids in the world are, because lets face it, we were never that bad!” ( Forgetting of course all the times we talked back and were just as rude as our younger generations) I can’t wait for those times, but she’s really glad we have not yet reach them, since she has a slight pre occupation with growing old. ha ha I think wrinkles are a sign of a life well lived, but then I’m a documentor. She thinks its just a sign her youth is giving away to adulthood! Who really wants to be an adult! Toys R’ Us kids for life! She might just hurt me for posting this but I want her to remember: I think she’s beautiful no matter our age or our wrinkles or our fading youth. The light in our eyes will forever be the same if not stonger with the years and stories they will tell will just get better and better! But to make her happy I did touch up the wrinkles! lol  Happy Birthday, Merry Christmas, and All the good stuff in between!

Love you forever!!!

Let us continue with a full version of the awesomeness I was delt with Georgie as my maternity mommy! She is only about 5 1/2 months along so we had to make her push the belly out to really get her to look like she’s at 8 months. We had fun with this lol. I kept yelling ” push out the belly” then I’d comment with “How many times in your life are you going to hear that? Not many. So, enjoy it now!”
