Last weekend I promised a full accounting of the super duper session that Andreea, Gabi and I had in and around the Cranbrook area. Well folks here it is, the story that you’ve been awaiting is ready to be shown to the world! Knowing both of them for years its easy to make them laugh and vice versa, which made the session simple to enjoy. I can’t wait for the wedding which is coming up in August. Andreea will be absolutely stunning as a bride and Gabi was made to be the fun groom! Look for the continuation of their love story.
Under the sunniest days in June Nela + Florin had a beautiful wedding at the Alleluia RPC in Dearborn, MI. You may remember these two from the gorgeous enagement session a month or so ago at Taylor Heritage Park. The wedding day did not disappoint as they pulled of being fabulous and so easy to be around all over again. I love that both Nela & Florin are such easy going people. There was no wedding freakouts that something didn’t get done, it was more of a question and then a lets move on moment, a very rare treat for me as a photographer. I hope that I’m that easy going on my wedding day and enjoy the moment as these two exampled for me the entire day. I wish you two all the best in the world, it was such a pleasure being your wedding photographer. ” Casa de piatra!” ~ Direct translation from Romanian to English is ” A house of Stone” but a cultural translation would be a ” A house full of unrelenting love!”

Just going through the gorgeous wedding of Liz and Rob and this picture just keeps me coming back! I love the look and feel of the anticipation, yet utter surreal calm, Liz has on her face and in her body language. There’s more where this came from so come back in a bit.
Enjoy!
Had to add this one, it was just too great!

Absolutely captivating and amazing quality! You have a gifted eye for capturing the beauty of our daughter on her Wedding Day and happiness within from knowing she made the right choice for a husband. You can see the love in their eyes. Delighted so far!
This past weekend I was out of reach for a few days because I got the rare and amazingly fun opportunity to go to Camp all over again!!! I barely got to go to camp as a kid but still camp is camp and cool is cool! The best part is I got to go to camp with Friends! My good friends run an annual Romanian Christian Camp called Camp Emanuel and its located just out side of Flint. They have been around for nine years now and this year they asked me if I could come document some of the fun! Ummmm… I don’t know about you all but if someone is sending me to camp I pretty much have my bags packed before the conversation is over! :D
How it went: I was so impressed with the quality of activities and lessons that the kids get to do. They actually had Financial lessons to teach the kids the value of money! I also loved the fact that you could see the relationships these kids were building with each other and how they were growing as people and especially as young Christians! The patience the counselors possessed was definitely God given. :) The greatest lesson I learned is that you learn right along with the kids, you never know enough you are always learning a bit more!
Thank you Camp Emanuel for the good times, the great laughs, and the view of Christ love from your eyes!
Just want to take this time and give a shout to a well worthy cause: www.CampEmanuel.com

Wow, those are some very nice shots! It was a good weekend at camp. I remember our lame “hacking” of the wireless signal; even with the password we were all failures. Fun times!

Please welcome the newest addition to the Elle Ticula Photography family – The Sav Family. They called me over for a saturday session at their house and a nearby park. The session was amazing even though we were constantly watching for the overhead clouds to burst into rain, but we got lucky and only had to take cover for a 2 minute sprinkling. I am in love with the sunset shot! Please welcome with warm hugs – the Sav Family!

5 Red Carpet Secrets to Posing for Photos
By Julyne Derrick
Why is it that celebrities always look skinny in red carpet photos? I live in NYC’s West Village and I can vouch that your average celebrity Ain’t All That. She tends to be short and bobbleheaded with proper child-bearing hips just like you and me (except for Giselle Bundchen and Sienna Miller, the skinny little…).
So how is it that in pictures they all appear so slim-ly terrific? More importantly, how can we look 10 pounds thinner in photos?
The secret is in the pose. (That, and the fact that they starve themselves a week before events and get sprayed by professional tanning people and wear gut-sucking Spanx and …). Back to the pose.
Here we share five secrets to appearing 10 pounds thinner in photos. You can practice these tips in front of a mirror, but we suggest locking your door first so as not to be caught appearing vain.
Secret No. 1: Turn partially sideways to the camera, planting one foot in front of the other. Point your toe to the camera and place your weight on your back foot.
Secret No. 2: Pull head forward slightly to minimize any appearance of a double chin.
Secret No. 3: Hold arms slightly away from your body. This keeps upper arm flab from flattening out and therefore appearing flabbier (much like thighs do when one sits on a couch).
Secret No. 4: Pull shoulders back, chest forward and gently suck stomach in. Be careful not to suck stomach so far in that your ribs show, thereby causing those who later see the photo to cluck to themselves in a bemused, sing-song voice, “She’s sucking i-in.”
Secret No. 5: If you can get away with it without looking like a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Cover Girl wannabe, try the look away trick. To do this, look away from the camera, then turn towards it, breaking into a smile just before the camera clicks. Your smile will appear fresh, not frozen. This trick takes practice behind closed, locked doors.

I was just sent this invite by a friend on a wedding site and I just fell in LOVE! I love creative invitations in a world where it seems everyone just goes with what is the simplest to find! Brides and Grooms take note, invite me with one of these and I’ll probably give your wedding a discount because I already know it will be a blast and I’ll want to attend for sure!!!! Now someone tell me this isn’t cool!
Take a look at this beautiful growing family! Its been a few months since I’ve last seen Elise and she just amazes me. She walks, talks, and has such personality and she’s barely 1 and a half! Kids are so fascinating! Well she is enchanted by everything she sees and her dad is her biggest conspirator to the annoyance of her mom who has to take care of both of them! lol Maria we deffiantely have to go discover more of Meadowbrook together. This place was amazing. Watch the video in HQ, its just plain better!

niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice! super work!
aww i love them!!! so pretty!!!!
